Someone’s Always Listening is a kinetic sound installation that rescales construction intensities within the walls of the Darling Foundry’s gallery. Quebec made blasting mats are laid on a bed of demolition debris from neighboring sites and brought to life by an automated hydraulic pump system. Speakers are concealed throughout the gallery and installation, emitting construction sounds recorded locally.
